A mesmerising tour of characterful India, with excursions to its best-loved sights and some time amidst tigers in Ranthambore National Park – all travel and five-star hotels included

Your packed itinerary of cultural gems kicks off in India's charmingly chaotic capital, with a tour of Delhi's spectacular sights. Here, you'll drive past the expansive surrounds of the resplendent Red Fort, weave through the bustling market stalls of Chandni Chowk, witness Gandhi's cremation site at Raj Ghat and visit the UNESCO site of Qutub Minar – the 73-metre high minaret built in the early 13th century. You'll then head to Agra, home to the impressive red sandstone Agra Fort and what's widely considered the world's most beautiful building – the illustrious and love-imbued Taj Mahal.

A stop at the atmospheric ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri precedes your next two nights in Jaipur, where you'll journey to the magnificent primal palaces of Amber Fort, snapping one of Jaipur’s most distinctive landmarks en route – the extraordinarily delicate, honeycomb adornments of the Hawa Mahal. An afternoon tour of Jaipur takes you to the 17th-century observatory constructed by the city's industrious founder, Jai Singh – not only a prince but also a soldier, astronomer and builder. You can also pour over intricately embroidered clothes of past Maharajas and Maharanis, rare manuscripts, paintings and carpets at the City Palace.

Known for its protected tigers, the 410 square metres of Ranthambore National Park are up next. You’ll have every chance to spot these majestic residents, along with leopards, sloths and deer, over three jungle safaris included over your two-night stay. In between wildlife watching, take a dip in the outdoor pool or unwind with a treatment in the tranquil spa. The hotel offers advise on other nearby points of interest too, with a mapped out trail that takes in some of the famous temples. Finally, you’ll transfer by train to Delhi to spend one more night, before catching your flight home.
