A sophisticated stay in a Georgian townhouse hotel in the heart of central London, just a stone's throw from beautiful Regent's Park, with breakfast included

Made famous as Sherlock Holmes' fictional residence and wistful by Gerry Rafferty's hit single of the same name, Baker Street has long since delighted Londoners and visitors alike. Despite its bread-related title, its not a penchant for pastries that inspired its name, rather the chap who laid the street out in the 18th century – William Baker. Fascinating facts aside, Baker Street provides a pretty perfect base from which to explore London, thanks to its achingly convenient location.

Park Avenue Baker Street takes an elegant shape, inside a beautiful Georgian townhouse, which is situated just a short stroll from both Baker Street and Marylebone tube stations. Start your days under the glass roof of the breakfast room before heading into Regent's Park, indulging in retail therapy on Oxford Street, or visiting the wax-work residents of Madame Tussauds nearby. With easy connections to the rest of London, you're within easy reach of the city's best shops, museums, art galleries, theatres and restaurants.

Good to know

Please be aware that guests may be accommodated in a separate building, located across the road just opposite from the main building. Please also be aware that some rooms are located on the lower ground floor, and that due to local council restrictions, no lifts are available on site. Luggage porters are available around the clock for your ease and comfort.

Accommodation

Guest rooms are contemporary in design, with a sophisticated vibe brought about by a grown-up colour palette. Dark woods combine with neutral tones, whilst black and grey fabrics create an elegant edge. En-suite bathrooms come with underfloor heating for added comfort, and guests may make the most of a smart mobile phone with complimentary national and international calls to certain countries.

Amenities:

- En-suite bathroom
- Air conditioning and central heating
- Flatscreen TV
- Direct-dial telephone
- Tea and coffee facilities
- Hairdryer
- Toiletries
- In-room safe
- Microwave
- Minibar/fridge

Dining

Full English and continental options are served as part of the buffet breakfast, available daily in the attractive breakfast room that comes complete with conservatory-style glass ceiling. Dust off those morning cobwebs with a coffee or two before tucking into freshly baked pastries or succulent fruits.

Location

Park Avenue Baker Street sits between Marylebone and Baker Street tube stations, providing plenty of public transport links around the city as well as easy access to intercity train connections. Regent's Park is just a few minutes away by foot, with its boating lake, open air theatre, as is The Sherlock Holmes Museum and ZSL London Zoo. The designer boutiques of Marylebone village are on your doorstep and if you walk a little further, you'll hit Selfridges and the shopping mecca that is Oxford Street. You're also just two tube stops from Paddington railway station.
