Discover the fascinating history of the Incas with a tour that takes you on a bucket-list-ticking journey through Bolivia and Peru. You’ll kick off in Bolivia’s administrative capital, La Paz, where you’ll spend the night before moving on to Uyuni - home to the awesome salt flats which form a unique landscape that hosts pink flamingoes, volcanoes and giant cacti. After two nights here, you’ll head back to La Paz, where you’ll have the chance to explore this high-altitude city before moving on to Peru.

Puno’s up next, and a stay near the epic Lake Titicaca - the world’s highest navigable body of water. Whilst here, you’ll take an excursion to Taquile and Uros Islands, where you’ll witness the beautiful clothing on the islanders, local crafts and agricultural traditions. Then, you’ll move on to Cusco, taking in a few sights en route, including Andahuaylas and the ruins of Racqui. You'll also stop off to take in the views at La Raya - the highest point between Puno and Cusco.

After a night in Cusco, you’ll move on to Aguas Calientes, from where you’ll visit the UNESCO-protected Machu Picchu - one of the seven wonders of the world. With two further nights in Cusco, you’ll have the chance to explore or to join an optional excursion, before heading onwards to Lima - Peru’s capital. It’s here you’ll spend your last two nights before boarding an overnight flight back to the UK.


Day 1: Depart the UK on an overnight flights to La Paz, Bolivia.
Day 2: Arrive in La Paz and transfer to Hotel Europa to check-in.
Day 3: Take a short flight to Uyuni, where you’ll check-in to Hotel Jardines de Uyuni.
Day 4: Explore the salt flats - the largest in the world and home to flamingoes, volcanoes and giant cacti. Overnight in Uyuni.
Day 5: Transfer back to La Paz, where you’ll spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 6: Transfer to Puno, Peru - home of Lake Titicaca. Check-in to Jose Antonio Puno and spend the afternoon and evening at leisure.
Day 7: Take an excursion to Taquile and Uros islands. Overnight in Puno.
Day 8: Transfer by bus to Cusco. Visit Andahuaylas, the ruins of Racqui and La Raya - the highest point between Puno and Cusco, with amazing views. Check-in to XIMA Eco Inn Cusco Hotel and overnight in Cusco.
Day 9: Board the Expedition Train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, head to Machu Picchu - one of the seven wonders of the world - before returning to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
Day 10: Take the train back to Cusco and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 11: At leisure in Cusco. Overnight in Cusco.
Day 12: Fly to Lima. Overnight in Lima.
Day 13: At leisure in Lima. Overnight in Lima.
Day 14: Take an overnight flight from Lima back to the UK.
Day 15: Arrive in the UK.

Hotel Europa, La Paz, Bolivia (one night, then one night)

This modern hotel is situated in the heart of La Paz City, just a short stroll from El Prado Walk. You’ll find two restaurants and a bistro on site, offering buffet breakfast, traditional dishes and innovative cuisine between them. There’s also a fully equipped fitness centre within the hotel, complete with a hot tub, sauna and hammam. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Hotel Jardines de Uyuni, Bolivia (two nights)

Earthy tones and natural materials set the tone at this charming hotel - think textured adobe-style walls, locally-crafted throws, stone and wood. With a prime spot right by Lake Titicaca, Jose Antonio Puno is just 10 minutes from the centre of Puno itself. Sillustani Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with large picture windows that afford wonderful lake views. There's also a bar - the perfect spot to sample a traditional pisco sour. Housed in a gleaming glass building, this hotel is well positioned in the Miraflores district, 20 minutes from downtown Lima. Las Espuelas restaurant is a cosy affair, while bright and cheery La Jalca bar often lays on live music to accompany your expertly mixed pisco sour. Well soundproofed rooms are flooded with natural light and come with cable TV and Wi-Fi.
