Seoul

From the glorious geishas of Kyoto to the irresistibly dynamic Seoul, this extraordinary trip takes in all the best Japan and South Korea has to offer

During this exhilarating 11-night Japan and South Korea holiday, you'll travel between four unforgettable destinations, kicking off with a three-night stay in glorious Tokyo. Here, you'll explore the dazzling downtown of this futuristic metropolis on a guided tour through the city, including visits to the impressive Tokyo Tower and beautiful Imperial Palace East Garden.

Next, you’ll hop aboard a bullet train to spend two nights in one of Japan's most atmospheric townscapes - Takayama. Nestled in the county's mountainous Gifu Prefecture, Takayama's present layout dates from the 17th century and boasts a wealth of museums, galleries and temples.

From here, you’ll head to Kyoto, where you'll have three nights to explore what was once the capital of Japan, including a full-day guided city tour taking in the city's top attractions. Think traditional tea rooms, tranquil temples and sublime gardens and you'll get a picture of what to expect from this colourful Honshu island city.

Finally, your trip will culminate with a three-night stay in South Korea's capital city - Seoul - staying at the glossy retreat of Courtyard Namdaemun. During your time here, you’ll embark on a tour of the city’s palaces, temples and markets, before choosing between a tour of the Korea Folk Village or DMZ, visiting the Dora Observatory and Third Infiltration Tunnel.
