A dream-fulfilling, fully escorted tour of China, with Chengdu's pandas and a Hong Kong city break - includes travel and fantastic cultural excursions

Discover both China and Hong Kong with this once-in-a-lifetime trip to not just one, but four epic destinations. You'll kick off in Beijing, where you'll visit the famous Tiananmen Square - the largest square in the world - and The Forbidden City, before taking in the Summer Palace and boating on Kunming Lake. A Beijing visit wouldn't be complete without a trip to The Great Wall of China – one of the greatest wonders of the world – and you'll witness it in all its glory from Mutianyu, before moving on.

Next, you'll travel to Xi’an where you'll come face to face with the world-renowned Terracotta Warriors, an army of stone built over 2000 years ago by emperor Qinshi Huangdi, before witnessing the exquisite details of the Small Wild Goose Pagoda – a significant cultural relic and one of the last remaining symbols of the ancient Tang Dynasty. After a morning exploring the Xi’an City Walls, you'll sit down to an evening's entertainment at a colourful cultural show.

You'll then head to the city of Chengdu, visiting a panda conservation centre to learn how these serene and wonderfully monochrome creatures are protected. You'll also have the option to discover the Leshan Giant Buddha, an impressive ochre-hued statue that's 233-feet high.

Moving on to Shanghai, you'll discover the stunning pavilions, streams and courtyards of the Yu Gardens, the Jade Buddha Temple and take in the city's panorama from the top of Shanghai's World Financial Centre. Spend a morning exploring the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao, known as the 'Pearl Stream', with its Ming and Qing Dynasty bridges and Ma family gardens.

Your trip winds up with a stopover in frenetic Hong Kong, where you'll have just enough time to get beneath the skin of this fascinating former British colony with two nights to explore at your own pace. Scale Victoria Peak, take in the famous harbour, glide along the Ngong Ping 360 cableway and peruse the chaotic night markets, before catching your flight home.
